I had a phone interview with a recruiting manager that lasted around 17 minutes. Another team member had reached out to me about the job, I did not apply. The recruiting manager I spoke with appeared to be getting through the interview rather than engaged. Given I recruit for a living, I can certainly tell the difference. She asked very limited questions she clearly had written down in advance and although I tried multiple times for a better connection, her attitude over the phone was ambivalent. Again, as a recruiter I realize I may come across as more critical however I tend to be a bit more open minded as I understand the variables involved in interviews. I'm leaving this review because she never tried to salvage it, came across as elitist and even mentioned the company has a very high technical hiring bar and goes after talent from Google, Facebook, Amazon. Good luck with that.
