The time between application and final interview involved several panel interviews and an exercise; it was lengthy and dragged out over holidays, which was inconvenient. The final interview with lead editors reviewed questions that had been asked in previous panels. Still, I bombed.

Pitch ideas to editors and data reporting team, working together to see if your contribution is a good fit w/ the company. See if you work well with the team, fit in with their style and work dynamic, and if you are able to see the 'bigger picture' of the story, publishing timeline, audience reaction, what other newsrooms are doing, etc.
