First thing,probability is a chapter of mathematics and the question standard does falls within senior high school so this really does not limit the question to a programmer or a project manager. If I am not wrong the question must have involved determining the probability that ants move such a way that they do not collide then the answer is simple, it has to be 1/8. I cannot post the complete solution but its pretty simple.
