I aimed for a few dollars higher than their minimum. However, I would recommend anyone applying (especially if it appears that you are fresh out of college/in college) to consider accepting their entry level pay, then working your way up, or flipping the question back at them to have them say their initial budget, starting a back and forth, but mention your openness to flexibility. In hindsight (and in tandem with the reviews of former employees), they'd prefer re-negotiations after their regular reviews, and I've seen employees do so and work their wages up fairly quickly.
