Please understand that I'm not writing this interview to trash REVOLVE or it's people, but I do want to give honest feedback. There was a phone screen first - nothing out of the ordinary. Next, there was an in-person interview with 3 different people there - all people were friendly and seemed to know their craft. I sent them all a thank you email after I got home that day and maybe one of them responded (this seems normal in LA). I think a month went by (I didn't email them in the meantime because I thought I was getting another job, so I emailed them again. They had me back for more interviews and a half-day of shadowing in their studio - great, fun day, awesome people, and a well-run studio! The interviews were a little more intense this time, but overall nothing out of the ordinary. The lead retoucher could not grasp the fact that I was looking for a full-time job rather than freelancing. Twice she asked me why I was looking for a full-time job; NOT why I was looking for a job at REVOLVE. It felt very awkward and unnecessary explaining why I need a full-time job to an interviewer. This was the only interviewer who maybe smiled once during the interview. Maybe it was just her first interview. Anyway, the only other negative thing I have to say about this whole experience was that I never got feedback or a decision communicated to me. Guys, I went the extra mile to show you I wanted to work here - I applied online on Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, sent resumes and cover letters to a few email addresses there, personally dropped off a hard copy of my resume and cover letter as well. I feel like I at least deserved a response, don't you? This was over 3 months of waiting since the job listing went up.
