I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with a recruiter from Recruiting in Motion while applying for a Senior Software Developer position. Initially, the recruiter promised to send an invite for a call, but failed to do so. After rescheduling, the interview started on an even worse note. Just as I was introducing myself, the recruiter said she needed to take a phone call, leaving me waiting for five minutes. After this wait, she messaged saying it would take another five minutes, which was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Given my experience and expertise, I was confident the role was a perfect fit for the client. However, due to this unprofessional behavior, I decided to withdraw from the process entirely. What should have been a straightforward interview left me feeling frustrated and angry, leading me to discontinue my pursuit of the role. Unfortunately, this experience reflects poorly on both the recruiter and the agency as a whole. I hope they improve their communication and professionalism in the future.
