My interviewer was very unprepared. They took ten minutes to locate my application and resume. Once we began, we spent virtually no time discussing my qualifications for the role, and instead focused on the layout of my resume. This was on top of initially saying they would be ten minutes late and shortly thereafter saying they needed to reschedule. Recommendation: be prepared. It’s a simple courtesy due any applicant.

The interview process was long and tedious—many rounds of interviews (5+), in addition to many touchpoints with the recruiter. Multiple team members told me I would be a great addition, and they could see I would make a positive impact. The Ripple team members were great, but the interviews were repetitive. After completing the entire process and some silence, I was advised that the team had decided to hire a local who did not require visa sponsorship. The recruiter noted that visa sponsorship was the main reason for proceeding with another candidate. Visa sponsorship to work in the country has always been part of my requirements. I am very disappointed to have had so much of my time and energy wasted.
