Before an interview is booked, our recruitment team will review each candidate’s resume to see if they are a good fit. After reviewing a resume we would then book the candidate in for an interview. The Life Story portion of the interview begins with open ended questions so that we can learn more about your experiences. We are looking for candidates to share organically what they feel is important for Shopify to learn about themselves. This holistic approach let’s us understand your experiences, what drives you, what makes you passionate and how we can align together. The technical portion of the interview process is designed to be more of a role-play to allow you to learn about the channels and challenges you might experience when in that role. I am sorry that you found this portion robotic, I’ll be sure to deliver this feedback to the appropriate team for you. Thank you again for the feedback.
