Should software engineers be concerned that ChatGPT, or some other form of AI, will replace them? Explain your view.

Humanity has already witnessed lots of jobs going obsolete through the milenia of its existence. Hunting and gathering is the first example that comes to mind, which became mostly unnecessary when agriculture was introduced. In recent years, the industrial revolution highlighted the obsolescence of numerous jobs, making this fact apparent to the average person. I believe that if humanity survives long enough, every job that will ever exist will be replaced by AI and robotics. I seriously doubt we will keep introducing creative jobs where AI cannot perform better than any human ever could. To formally answer the question, we should not be concerned because our job is one of the last (from the currently existing jobs) to be replaced by AI. As manual labor jobs are getting lost in time, fewer people will be able to follow a more creative career. This could cause waves of unemployment, but governments around the globe have already began experimenting with the concept of basic income. That makes me believe that when the time for software engineering to become obsolete comes, the majority of people will have already faced this problem and a proper solution for the lack of jobs will already be there. People will not have to work anymore and will have to face the zeroth world problem of how to spend your life without the need for work. We'll have the Garden of Eden delivered to us by our own creation.
