It was a multi-step interview process, starting with a phone interview, then moving onto a 'working interview' where you come in, sit with various team members and see what they do. I really liked this concept, especially since it gave me a really good insight into what it would feel like to work there. And honestly, the vibe wasn't good. It was almost like everyone who worked there was coached really hard on how to behave and what to say during these interviews, it was way too rehearsed. I'm big on asking a lot of questions to ensure that the company I choose to work for is a good fit for myself. I could immediately see the demeaner change in the managers as soon as I asked some of the more controversial questions, those that a lot of people are too scared to ask but I wanted to ensure I had a clear understanding and there was no room for myself to misinterpret their expectations. As soon as those questions started coming out about Covid restrictions, pay, etc they shut down. I definitely felt like the vibe for this office was more of 'do as I say and don't ask questions' and that isn't my style. I prefer to feel invited to inquire. Not for me.
