      Entrevista

They call you to come in at 9am and wear business formal. You wait around for a minute and then they call you to the back to talk to a manager. Ten minute convo, tops. Vague questions, never really goes into details about the job. They fill out a short half-page with your basic info. You leave and they say they'll call you that afternoon. You get a call back and yay, they want another interview, probably in a weeks time. This time it's going to be an eight hour job shadow under one of their "top employees." They give you a date and time and say to wear business casual. You show up to the job shadow. The person with you is very friendly. They're wearing a polo/t-shirt and jeans. You feel overdressed and awkward. You head off to the job shadow, and you realize that it's a door-to-door sales job, never mentioned before, but you're already there so you stick around. The person you're with is nice to talk to and you enjoy yourself. Lunch rolls around, and they say they're buying for you. As you're eating, they whip out papers about the different promotions and "benefits" with each, and how much you earn (they don't mention its all commission). It feels like they're trying to sell YOU on the job, despite you being the interviewee. During this time in the ridealong, you see that half sheet of paper from the first interview with your name on it. The number "3" is written in big green marker, indicating a score. You don't know what the scale is but it seems weird to leave that paper in the open. You finish out the tiring day, feeling pretty positive but suspect of the job. You head home at around 8, and they say they'll call you that night with a final decision. Less than forty minutes later you get a call! You're hired. Congrats.

Reviewer, We're sorry for any miscommunication present, as it seems we did not do the best job preparing you for your second interview. In our preliminary interview, we discuss the fact that we do face-to-face sales on behalf of AT&T and work with potential clients residentially, but it is clear that message was missed and we can work on being even more direct with expectations for the job shadowing. All in all, we thank you for the time you spent in the interview process and learning more about our company and open position. Best of luck. Sincerely, Management
