I recently went through StartupBreed's interview process for the role of Recruitment & Career Consultant, and it was quite an unconventional experience. Firstly, the positives: Billy and Charlie, the interviewers, were genuinely passionate about their work and displayed a friendly demeanor throughout the interview process. Their commitment to helping individuals find fulfilling careers was inspiring. It was clear that they cared deeply about their mission. During the interview, I was challenged to think critically and creatively. The scenario-based interview allowed me to showcase my problem-solving skills, even though I lacked direct experience in certain areas. Billy and Charlie were patient and provided valuable feedback throughout the process. However, there were elements of the interview process that left me with mixed feelings. During the online interview, there was a moment when they provided feedback that delved into aspects of my character. While I understand that StartupBreed values straightforwardness and a direct approach, I found the feedback somewhat unconventional. It seemed to approach the boundary between honesty and what some might perceive as a more intense or challenging style. In such situations, it's important for any company to strike a balance between frankness and maintaining a high level of professionalism. While the interview was challenging, it was also a great learning experience. The team's enthusiasm and the chance to learn from them were truly inspiring. It's evident that they are dedicated to helping people achieve fulfilling careers, and this mission shines through in every interaction. In conclusion, StartupBreed is an intriguing company with a unique approach to recruitment. While I didn't receive an offer, I believe that their mission is commendable.
