I was selected to work in the Versailles region of France. I then had to go to the consulate for an interview to apply for a visa. If you have all your paperwork, this part should be really easy. It is very important to have everything they asked for. I have seen a lot of people sent back for missing one document, so make sure to read the requirements on the website

There's no interview beyond the interview at the consulate(which is not really an interview as it making sure you have all your paperworK) and the written essay you have to provide in french which they evaluate to test your language speaking skills. Teaching in Paris is the most popular, so applicants are generally vetted more strictly.

Online application, nothing in person or over the phone. There is nothing like an interview after you submit the online application then you have to wait until April to find out if you have been accepted to the program.

You have to have a certain level of French, but the only way they ask you to prove this is through an essay that you write along with a letter of rec from a college professor. May be easy to not be 100% honest, but I would not recommend this at all because if you end up in a small town, there's a high chance you will be almost solely relying on French. Fair warning!

No formal interview process. It was all done with extensive writing samples and pertinent academic credentials. The application was clear and has lots of room to show your particular qualifications.

The hiring process was fairly simple. It was required to write an essay and have a professor verify your french ability. There was another option to take an exam but nothing too serious. On this application it was required to select what size city you want to live in and what age of children you want to work with. After this application which was due in the winer time. After this a few months later you hear if you were selected or not.
