Tell me a little about yourself
Sigiloso
I am a retired law enforcement officer with 20 years of experience serving with the New York State Police. Over the course of my career, I had the privilege of working in a variety of roles, each of which helped shape my skill set and my passion for public safety. I started my career on highway patrol, where I honed my skills in traffic enforcement, accident investigation, and emergency response. For two years, I also served as an instructor at the police academy, where I trained and mentored new recruits, helping to prepare them for the demands of police work. Additionally, as a field training officer, I had the responsibility of guiding new officers fresh out of the academy, ensuring they were equipped with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the field. One of the most impactful experiences of my career was being part of the 9/11 rescue and recovery operations. This was a pivotal moment in my life, and it reinforced my commitment to service and the importance of working as part of a team during high-stress situations. I was also extremely dedicated to physical fitness and defensive tactics training, taking an active role in initiatives to equip officers with the tools they need to stay safe in life-threatening situations. I believed strongly in preparing officers, both physically and mentally, for the challenges they might face while on patrol. Now that I’m retired, I’m looking for new ways to apply my experience and skills in a different capacity, and I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute my expertise in a new environment. I am particularly interested in positions that allow me to utilize my background in training, leadership, and crisis management.
