Tell me about a time where you handled a difficult customer.

I was working in retail and I recall a customer upset that she found an item in the wrong part of the store. She thought the shirt was cheaper than what it was. She decided that because it was not in the right place she should get the price she thought it was initially. I told her no in the beginning (because the tag on the item clearly stated the price) however she didn’t take this for an answer. I decided that instead of getting a manager involved to give her the discounted price because she has been a loyal customer to that place for years. The customer isn’t always right but as a business we should value their loyalty.
