When I was working as a full-sales cycle specialist at Paychex Payroll Services, I forgot to ask a prospect if they had any other issues (needing to switch payroll, wanting to get 401k) and at the end of the sales process when I was getting ready to send them paperwork over, they wanted to bundle other services which I was unprepared for. They were also speaking with one of our competitors who was ready to bundle, so they went with them instead. After this experience, I made sure to ask about pain points relating to all HR suites, not just timekeeping services. I created 46 partner referrals for different products during my time at Paychex.
