I told my teaching experience and so on, and by the end of my answered I mentioned that I was also actively teaching as a work for hire employer with and online tutoring company teaching English and Music. Immediately her attitude change and the energy in the room was tense. She said that because of Berlitz policies they can no have any one working with other companies that provide services similar to Berlitz. I said "it was not problem", but she insisted and then mentioned that I now will have to bring on official later from that company saying that I don't work for them any more. I went ahead and in between of what sounded more like a threat than a comment from her, I said " ok no problem ". Tension in the room was eminent and It felt as if in that moment I had been disqualified from anything to her eyes. Then more as routine, she proceeded with the interview and all the energy went down hill from here. I really tried to stay positive but eminently she now did not liked me at all. I answer all following questions very professionally. Finally, I was given the offer of $ 13.50 the hour and 40 hours of unpaid training. Wow, I was really impressed.
