There was a time when I needed to complete monitors for my team. The issue was I needed to remain available for phone line to make sure we had coverage for the customers. I remained on the phone line until several other managers logged in, then communicated to the group that I would be logging out for an hour, but at desk. I advised them to call me to log back in if it gets too busy. I worked very quickly to complete my tasks, and log back into the phone. One of my peers gave me positive feedback on how well I was able to complete my core functions, and wanted me to share several best practices.
