So, the process itself was fairly simple. I applied online on the careers website after looking through the work hours; I just had to fill in a few details and complete a questionnaire then upload my cv along with the evidence of my right to work in the UK, e.g., passport scan or biometric card scan. It took a few days for the right to work part to be approved, but right after that, I got an interview invitation. The interview was a group one, and it was easy enough, they sat us at a table and asked us two questions each which we went around answering one by one. Then, we were given the task of building a tower, which could hold for a minute, using paper and tape. Afterwards, we were taken one person at a time into a separate room and asked about our availability along with a few more questions, and then that was it.
What annoyed me was the fact that they said they would get back to me within the next week and never did, they just left me hanging which was a bit rude.
If you are applying for a position within Tesco, I would say don't bother looking at the shift hours they show on their initial application page as they clearly just want someone who is flexible to work all the hours and days; other than that good luck!
