I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with TestEquity’s hiring process was disappointing enough that I felt it was worth sharing.
The recruiting process started off very positively. The recruiter was responsive, communicative, and kept me informed throughout each step. The hiring manager was also engaged and even took the time to respond to my thank-you email after our interview, which left me with a great impression of the company.
Unfortunately, everything changed after I interviewed with an HR Director who had only been with the company for about four weeks. After that interview, communication completely stopped. Despite investing significant time in multiple interviews, I never received a follow-up, update, or even the courtesy of a rejection.
Being ghosted after making it to the later stages of the interview process is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful to candidates’ time and effort. A simple email takes only a few minutes and reflects basic professionalism.
I understand that companies have the right to choose the candidate they believe is the best fit. What I don’t understand is failing to communicate with candidates who have invested their time and energy in your hiring process.
I hope TestEquity improves its candidate experience because no applicant should be left wondering what happened after participating in multiple interviews.
