      Two weeks after sending my application I finally had an interview with an HR person. This generally went fine, until she mentioned that their interview process requires a take-home assignment. I generally refuse to do such tasks, so I asked what would be an alternative to the take-home assignment. She said that there is no alternative, all candidates have to do it. Finally I asked, what if I were Linus Torvalds, would you still require me to do the take-home task, and she said yes. At that point I concluded that this company is not for me. They are utterly inflexible in their interview process, and presumable also inflexible in other things.

      Entrevista

      It starts with a Recruiter Interview, Then a behavioral test gorilla test, then a take home assignment, 2 technical-behavioral interview with 2 Engineering managers and a Final Interview with CTO. I was rejected after a very lengthly chat with CTO. Their reasons were related to behavioral test, which was 5 steps away.

      Entrevista

      Initially the HR contacted me and explained the process of the interview very clearly. She was very helpful in explaining all my queries and then she has set the initial technical round with the technical team. The interview questions were mostly around the work you have done in your recent career path. There were some questions like about TDD, it does not have a right answer, but it shows how comfortable you are with that topic. After the interview, I was given a programming task, which I need to do in a remote coding environment where you can put your work version controlled. I was not very comfortable with the middleware used, so within short period time (around 9hrs), I could come up with something. Then, we had a followup interview where there is a discussion around your solution. However, my solution was not the best way to do it. So, the interview process did not proceed after that. However, here comes the interesting part. After getting the regret from the HR, I have requested for the feedback for the places where I should improve. To my surprise, I got a very detailed feedback from the technical team. I have given interview in different companies before and after TestLio, but no companies could give such a detailed feedback. I am really indebted to TestLio for the feedback and I worked on them and eventually got the job in other companies. As per the people and supporting culture, I will give TestLio 10/10 and also I must say that during the interview I never felt I was being grilled. It was a very friendly discussion. I really loved TestLio.
