I answered that customers want to know that they have been heard, that their problem has been understood. Then they want to know what can be done about it. This requires a knowledge of store policies, of course, so I would learn those as soon as possible. I said that if I didn't know the answer, I would tell the customer that I would find the answer by asking another employee or the store manager, so the customer knew something would be done.
