The second technical interview asked about how I'd dealt with conflict in pair-programming
Sigiloso
I compared my experience on teams that used pair-programming with teams I've worked on that didn't and said that there weren't many conflicts when working on the former because the developers were usually on the same page when pairing (or "mob-programming"). I noted that this happened because engineers were usually working through the same problem in real-time so we tended to reach similar conclusions about the problem around the same time. Pair-programming wasn't really discussed in the so-called "culture-fit" interview. Though I had naively assumed that they would have to take previous answers into account, a conscious effort seems to have been made to disregard responses like this in the final decision.
