For the previous poster,  as an ex employee, count yourself lucky they didn't get back to you.  When I  started last year every single person  when I started quit or left by the end of the year.   You dodged a bullet.

I've sent them my GitHub repository of 2 days of work and never hear anything back from them. About 20 odd days later(Christmas etc. in the middle) I emailed and got a response that - the person who was supposed to look at it was ill and they will let me know by the end of the day that day. 
That's the last contact, unfortunately.
