First round with one interviewer was pretty standard with usual STAR type questions. Went well and reached the second round. This was with about 5 people and involved a presentation. I had tech issues and explained why I was 4 minutes late, apologised and got on with the presentation. I've done presentations for 20 years including for post-grad so wasn't an issue. They seemed happy and asked some questions.
3 days later the recruiter tells me it didn't go well according to Theolytics, and that I was flustered!! Looks like they needed an excuse not to hire the PhD with experience in a top ovarian cancer lab (OBE award), a top renal cancer lab (nobel prize), PM experience in major pharma and biotech companies and Horizon 2020 experience. Luckily I already had an offer for a role paying +13.5K a year more, but was disappointed they had to resort to excuses that I was flustered and nervous (laughable). Not the first time a company did this to me (that time they told a recruiter my camera wasn't on....when it was). Why the excuses? If you know, you know....
