Got a referral via someone on Blind. Was approached by recruiter in 4 days. Recruiter call was pretty straightforward, just background etc. After that there was a call with hiring manager. This covered a lot of "background" questions, like what had I worked on before etc. Finally there was a set of interviews. Most of them had some behavioral questions. Some of them were about past projects which felt like a repeat. Some involved theoretical scenarios like what I would improve or how I would prioritize. To prepare, my recommendation is 1. Think a lot about your resume. Any line is fair game where hiring manager can ask a question about it. I got asked about something I did like 6 years ago. 2. Prepare a few ideas around tiktok, the product, competition, what features you would improve etc. 3. Prepare for theoretical product questions like "How do you prioritize between tech and features". 4. For practice, I used prepfully and exponent. They had some coaches who have previously worked at TikTok so they gave good advice. 5. Some interviewers are a bit abrupt. I think it is their style of interviewing. It was a bit unpleasant, but I didn't get phased by it. Eventually received an offer but got a better one from Pinterest \m/ so accepted that.
