At my previous role I led the onboarding of a client with around 30 local & international employees. They needed their first compliant payroll up and running within 30 days. My job was to ensure compliance documents, set up their payroll and integrations, and make sure the first pay run went smoothly. I set up a simple 30-day plan, arranged a call to agree on milestones, sent an automated welcome pack with everything they had to submit. When we’d gathered all the legal and tax documents, and I coordinated our team to build the HR integration and run payroll to catch any errors early. I also trained their admins using short recorded sessions so they felt confident before go-live. We delivered the first payroll eight days ahead of schedule with zero compliance issues, and they rated the experience nine out of ten. This reinforced the importance of clear and effective onboarding procedures for me
