The interview process began with a phone screening with a recruiter. We had a great conversation and she let me know she wanted to move me forward in the interview process. However, before I could even speak to a person on the marketing team, they had an assessment that was basically a full case study that I had to complete first. I’ve done case studies and assessments before in an interview process, but it really rubbed me the wrong way that it was required before even really speaking to someone. Ultimately I didn’t feel comfortable spending hours on a project that early in the interview process.
