      Entrevista para Workplace Operations

      24 de nov. de 2015
      Candidato(a) sigiloso(a) à entrevista
      San Francisco, CA
      Nenhuma oferta
      Experiência negativa
      Entrevista fácil

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 3 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Twitch (San Francisco, CA) em set. de 2015

      Entrevista

Phone screen followed by individual interviews with department stakeholders. The recruiter rescheduled the screen a few times. It did however make it sound like a potential match. I was exited to visit their beautiful offices. The onsite process was very one-sided. I was clearly brought in to be vetted, and there was no opportunity for me to ask any important questions. I met with 4-5 individuals for about 30 minutes each. None of them seemed familiar with my resume and I went through it each time with each person. They then each asked a series of questions with various levels of relevance. I was invited to ask questions only at the end, and with the next person standing outside of the conference room, visibly waiting. It was obviously a formality. A few even excused themselves after a cursory response to only my first question. They did not even take the time to complete the rejection email template (...After much consideration for our XXXPositionXXXX need here at Twitch,...). Really? Not an impressive experience. Twitch approached me about this position but entirely failed to understand that they were being evaluated as well. This disconnect adversely impacted my responses to their questions. I suspect it may be an Amazon-influenced method of recruiting, despite Twitch's expressed efforts to distance themselves from the brand.

Sincerely apologize for the negative experience. I agree that this process was handled inappropriately, and take responsibility for this. As you probably learned in the process, this was a new role and being one of the first interviews, some calibrating was happening. This process is certainly not indicative of the typical process at Twitch, and again - I am sorry. Also, this was not an Amazon-influenced method of recruiting, strictly a mistake that I take responsibility for. Sorry again, Arthur Yamamoto Director of Recruiting
