      Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Two Degrees Mobile (Auckland, ) em out. de 2019

      Entrevista

      The interview process was nothing short of ridiculous. There was the expectation that every candidate (around 10 people) would commit 10-12 hours to the process for an entry-level job that they were offering 45k a year. There were multiple phone conversations, two hours of online testing which were absolutely in no way relevant to the position, then a 5 hour session at the office where you were required to do a ten minute presentation (which you had to prepare for, setting aside another few hours of your personal time to prepare a powerpoint show), a panel interview, and group activities. I truly think it's degrading and demoralizing to expect every candidate to set aside roughly 10-12 hours for the opportunity to get an entry-level position with very low pay. Imagine if every job did this? You'd be working full time just at an attempt to get a job. I'd understand a bit more if this was a higher-level position but it's just representative of a real power imbalance where they know that they can get you to do whatever they want and you're going to go along with it if you want the job. This is the extreme of how far can we push candidates. I found the whole process dehumanizing and demoralizing.

      Thanks for your feedback and we’re sorry to hear that you feel this way. Graduate roles are very competitive as they are a wonderful kick-starter opportunity for a graduate’s career and the caliber of applicants was excellent – for the 8 people that made it through to the assessment centre stage, there were over 150 that didn’t, so we hope that you feel proud of that achievement. Graduate recruitment processes are mostly very similar to what you experienced with us, so hopefully your learnings from the process will stand you in good stead for future graduate opportunities. We received overwhelming positive feedback from other the attendees, many who said it was the best recruitment experience that they’d had and that they were blown away by how friendly and positive everyone was, so we were very sorry to hear that your experience differed.
