My process was faster than normal since I had already taken the 473 test and recieved a job offer for a different position less than two months prior. I already completed a background and drug test. I never received a start date which prompted me to apply for open CCA positions. I applied on 12/03/15. Received a request for motor vehicle records on 12/14/15. Completed the same day. Received a copy of my driving history report from GIS in the mail on 12/21/15. I also recieved an invite to interview that same day. Attended the interview on 12/29/15 where there were about 50 people in total applying to dozens of locations across the region. They lecture you on the unpredictable hours, weather conditions, and long work weeks. They have you fill out a paper with a list of all the locations hiring and you must rank your preference for work locations. They showed us a short video on being a CCA and from there went in alphabetical order to conduct individual interviews. The interview itself was very easy. They thoroughly go over your application and verify everything before the real interview starts. I was lucky to have an interviewer that was helpful and honest about what to expect. She asked questions like have I ever worked outside and if I'm comfortable about dogs. Very easy questions. I also asked her questions throughout the interview to which she broke down everything I was curious about. At the end, she didn't tell me whether or not I was reccomended but I knew the interview went great. Two days later on 12/31/15 I received a conditional job offer via email. I'm currently awaiting the next email to discuss my orientation date.
