It started with an online application, followed by a video interview and online test. The video interview involved being asked 5 questions and for each question having 30 seconds to prepare, then 3 minutes to answer. The final stage was an assessment centre which comprised of an observed group discussion bases on a brief, a one-on-one presentation and an interview.

I applied for a different role very early on around October 2017, completing an online application, diagrammatic test and video interview. After that I heard nothing for a long time, so assumed I hadn't been successful. I received an email in Feb 2018 saying that the role I'd applied for was full, but they'd fast tracked me to the assessment centre for another role which was for the Digital Enterprise Graduate Programme. They gave me 7 days from sending the email to going to the assessment centre. This was very surprising and out of the blue, and I wasn't sure if I had the transferable skills for this role. I went along to the assessment day which consisted of a group exercise (25 mins reading time, 10 mins discussion), a presentation task which we received on the day (10 min presentation) and a 1:1 interview. The day was from 1-5pm and there was no food provided and your travel costs were not reimbursed. The graduates there seemed quite unenthusiastic, and took us for a tour around the huge campus. They were a little off putting as they said they had no pressure and that the job was really easy - which was not really what I wanted to hear! Also none of the grads there were from the stream I was being assessed for, which wasn't very helpful! The day itself was nice enough and everyone was very friendly, the culture certainly seems nice. There were some issues with the group task where myself and my team mates discovered we had slightly differing briefs at the end of the activity and they were missing some of the questions others had, putting them at a disadvantage. Getting home was extremely difficult, the free 10 min shuttle to the station took a total of 50 mins to arrive.
