They contacted me. Someone claiming to be the board member was also interviewing me. It is actually fake. They send you a check but it won't clear. Thankfully, I'm so poor I am homeless. Once that was transparently admitted to my new boss the atmosphere of the chat changed. Eventually, it was clear to both parties that I am too poor to start work, a problem I've never before encountered. This isn't how employment works: if any of y'all are out there and unaware.
