Had the worst screening experience in my several years of experience. When we had the phone conversation and in my resume I made it clear that I had no PHP experience. The first thing I saw in the interview was to do a CR written in PHP. It happens that the candidates get interviewed in the language that they use the most. I communicated this to my interviewer, she did not take my feedback and proceeded. Then she asked me to do the typical method coding question, it happened that she was expecting an OO design that she did not made it clear that she was expecting. The third part went well because it was a straight forward SQL question so there was no chance for miscommunication. In general my recommendation is that you want to hire top talent ensure that your screeners have great common sense and communication skills. Also, try not to do language specific interviews unless the candidate states that they are an "expert" and set the expectations
