I started with Senior Data Engineer (L3) and made clear that I want to lead a team (L4) in the future and then was interviewed for Data Solutions Manager/Data Engineering Manager. This also involved one interview round about my leadership qualities. I cleared all rounds and then was offer an L3 role which I had to reject. It was a total waste of time for everyone involved in the process. They asked me to do a take home which was not even forwarded to the Engineer that took that round. Had to present my screen and go over the solution. Another one was data modeling, one sql/python round and another leadership with hiring manager.
