MOM = My Macy's localization, Omni-Channel integration, and Magic Selling Customer Engagement. Localization in my opinion is stores carrying certain merchandise based on geographic location and demand. Why would Macy's stock a store in Maine with flip-flops in December? Omni-channel integration, Macy's is the worlds premiere Omni-channel company. Omni-channel is the seamless integration of smart-phones, computers, and brick and mortar stores. Bringing all those together to make purchases and finding merchandise perfect. Lastly, Magic selling customer engagement. Everyone knows what magic means at Macy's, right? Well if not: M: Meet & make a connection. A: Ask open ended questions. G: Give options through search & send or finding a store near by that has it. I: inspire to buy more. C: Celebrate the purchase, through the savings and/or through the great items the customer just purchased. That is just a little background on some of Macy's selling strategies.
