I discussed how, especially with coding, communication is important. Things such as a misunderstanding of how an aspect is supposed to work or integrate can cause massive redesigns down the line because pieces do not integrate as planned. Other things, such as not sharing when people can work, what they are working on or problems they are experiencing, can cause interpersonal strain, redundant work, or a slow down in the workflow. One common issue is when two groups interpret an idea differently. In this situation, I find it best for both sides to explain what they thought was supposed to happen, and then discuss the pros and cons of both before choosing an interpretation or creating a new direction. This often makes sure that everyone gets to explain their side, and then everyone can come to an agreement on how to proceed. In general, I find it best to have frequent regroups to check in with everyone to avoid small issues growing into large ones.
