I didn’t have a full picture of what was available to me at the time, so I just said I wasn’t quite sure yet. I was working a lot in a lab churning out data for a grant, so I wasn’t reading enough. I also didn’t know what I could really accomplish as a scientist outside academia, which I have no desire to do.
