I spoke about how I consider my management style to be more of a mentoring style and that good managers take the time to get to know their people, what they want from their job and the company, and how to foster that development. Not everyone wants to be a VP. And driving people to that will only drive them away if they want to just be a hard-working professional that isn't interested in leadership, per se.
