The founder and owner of Enterprise is Jack Taylor who started the company in 1957. He named the company "Enterprise" after the aircraft carrier he served on, USS Enterprise in WWII. This name is now synonomous with the leadership and vision of the business. He applied the skills and lessons he learned in the Navy including the value of hard work, team spirit, and simply doing the right thing. There are now more than 7,000 companies in neighborhood and airport locations and in 30 countries.
