Aside from the fact the name was "borrowed" from another policy push it is focusing on eliminating poverty by tackling a number of solvable problems, maternal and early childhood health, illiteracy, and agricultural technology for the third world. This along with about 20 pages of research on the number of prize contestants, the rather paltry size of the prize and the gamified approach(even though USAID and others are using this word it is definatley not a example of gamification, merely offering a cash prize doesn't qualify as gamified)
