The first step in our interview process is designed to assess communication and interpersonal skills along with other soft skills needed for the position. It also allows the candidates to meet potential co-workers and get a good look at the work environment. We want to be sure that the candidates are very clear on what the position entails. Thus we do not rush the process. And since we had people applying starting with the July 4th holiday and into the summer, we had to allow for people being out on vacation.
