I tried to be as positive as possible, with such a personal, invasive question. "I didn't do very well at a regular high school because of bullying, so I went to an alternative school. I turned my GPA around from 1.0 to 3.0, over the course of two years, which is very hard to do. It was a great learning experience." I mean...that's a personal question, and I think I answered as appropriately as possible.
