I didn't care for these very basic questions! My "exposure", as they told, was to improve code architecture by using design patterns, so that the software is well constructed to extendable, re-usable, customisable etc.. I can tell that they might just code, no coding guidelines, whatever the developer likes to do and feel right to do. The immediate consequence would be for everybody to clean up after each other after project switching.
