I dont know much about the IGBT, but still whatever i knew that i described. IGBT is the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor and it is made up with the attribute of the BJT and MOSFET. It has the advantages of both BJT and MOSFAT like IGBT has fast switching time and lower on state voltage drop.
