A Eurobond is a debt instrument that is issued in a currency other than the home currency of the country or market in which it is issued. The term "Euro" in Eurobond doesn't mean it's necessarily issued in Europe or denominated in the Euro currency. Rather, it signifies that the bond is "external" to the domestic regulatory framework of the currency it's denominated in.
