I cultivate relationships with existing and potential clients that allow me to present options rather than pitch sales. Once rapport is established, the process is streamlined, as the exchange becomes less about the product and more about the relationship. Clients that are disarmed do not need to be defensive with a person merely providing opportunities. Comparatively, salesmen often use obvious and overused jargon that perpetuate the negative stereotype of salesmen.
