The minimum pay in the job ad was beneath minimum wage, so I stated my desired pay to be above this by 1/3rd, as I had sufficient educational background (and would normally get significantly more). This was rejected, and I was told all staff start on the low pay in the job ad, leading me to question - why ask at all?
