I don't share my salary history with prospective employers because it minimizes my ability to negotiate. The HR process at Zoll is very well entrenched, and they blackballed me because I challenged the HR woman, who took a very authoritarian position that she needed my salary history to proceed. I wish more people would stand up to those tactics.
