I asked what training would be offered or if there would be someone available for assistance. This did not seem like an inappropriate question but the two interviewers looked at each other as though I had just dropped a bomb since it was a position as the head of a department. However in my opinion, starting at a new company requires someone to help a newbie learn the ropes whether they are the director or a housekeeper.
